Sam Vas

My journey with meditation began when I was just 7 years old. Growing up, I was fortunate to be introduced to mindfulness by my parents and grandparents, who taught me the importance of staying present and balanced. As I grew older, my curiosity led me to explore various meditation techniques, learning from different teachers and gurus in India. These experiences deepened my understanding of mindfulness and strengthened my passion for connecting the mind, body, and spirit.

At 22, I pursued Reiki and became certified in Level 2, expanding my knowledge of energy work and holistic healing. Along the way, I became fascinated by the profound connection between sound, frequency, and the mind. This curiosity led me to explore sound healing in greater depth—I immersed myself in studying the history of sound therapy, learning about chakra balancing, kundalini awakening, and the power of sound frequencies to influence our thoughts, emotions, and overall well-being.

 

I eventually became a qualified sound bath teacher, blending ancient practices with modern techniques to create transformative experiences for others. This knowledge, combined with my background in meditation and breathwork, allowed me to develop a unique approach to guiding people toward deep relaxation and inner harmony.

From Personal Training to Mindfulness Coaching

While building a successful career as a personal trainer, I spent over a decade helping people improve their physical strength and overall health. But during this journey, I noticed a recurring pattern—many of my clients, despite being physically strong, were carrying mental and emotional stress. This realization pushed me to incorporate meditation and breathwork into my training sessions, giving clients tools to calm their minds while strengthening their bodies.

The results were transformative, and as word spread, I began offering sound bath sessions in yoga studios, creating a space where participants could release tension, experience emotional balance, and restore their inner calm. From there, my work naturally expanded to include corporate clients, school teachers, and children, helping a diverse range of people experience the profound benefits of these practices.

Bringing Mindfulness to Kids and Teens

Having experienced the benefits of meditation from a young age, I’m passionate about passing these tools on to the next generation. In today’s world, where kids and teens face increasing academic pressure and social challenges, mindfulness offers them a way to stay grounded and manage their emotions effectively.

Through tailored meditation and sound bath sessions in Melbourne schools, I empower students (aged 7 to 19) to build emotional resilience, improve focus, and enhance creativity. These skills not only support them in the classroom but also help them navigate life’s challenges with confidence and ease.

Supporting Corporate Teams and Teachers

As my practice expanded, I began working with corporate teams, school teachers, and small groups, where I witnessed the transformative power of mindfulness in high-stress environments. In today’s fast-paced workplaces, stress and burnout are common, but through meditation, breathwork, and sound healing, I help teams pause, reset, and return to their tasks with clarity and focus.

For teachers, who often juggle multiple responsibilities, these sessions create a space where they can release tension and cultivate the emotional balance needed to create positive learning environments. By helping educators manage their own well-being, they are better equipped to support their students.

A Holistic Path to Wellness

At Sound Bath by Sam, my mission is to empower people—whether they’re children, teens, corporate teams, or educators—to cultivate a strong mind-body-spirit connection. Through personalized sessions, I create safe and nurturing spaces where individuals can let go of stress, deepen their awareness, and restore balance.
